Working for the Web: The Making of Computers
The resources that helped or could have helped along the way:
The resources that helped the most were websites I found through Google searches, from Wikipedia sources/redirections. I had to go to many different websites, which are located in the “sources” slide at the end of my slideshow, which I will link below:
What you’re most proud of about your work:
I am proud that I was able to make a slideshow with material that is organized/presented in a way that isn’t too confusing(hopefully- at least not to me), because during my research I was getting very frustrated with the huge amount of information I was reading and was not sure how to even compile it all together. I am also proud that I was able to find out some of the history of the US and Taiwan relations, as Taiwan is the most important country involved in the computer market/business. I learned that Taiwan and the US are allies and that they support each other in times of crisis, like war, and that they share many similar values, have deep commercial and economic links, are trade and investment partners, and have critical supply/demand chains. I learned that it is a good thing that the US relies on Taiwan, and not China (which is who I at first assumed made most computers) because, unlike China, Taiwan doesn’t pose any threats to us.
