Working for the Web: The Making of Computers
Goals for this module:
- Find out what computers are made out of, and where those raw materials are sourced
- Gain some knowledge about the most common computer brands/companies
- Figure out where computers are made and what the process is
- Learn about the international relationships involved in the import/export market
End product I hope to produce:
I hope to produce a slideshow that can reach the goals above and maybe even bring in some more information that is interesting or important for people to know. I would like to find out how to buy a computer from a company that practices good ethics, but I also understand that it would probably be very hard to figure that out since there are so many moving parts and so much information that I can’t access about the true nature of the labor involved and environmental effects.
